The move has the potential to elevate rookie coach Garth Brennan’s side into playoff contention, although the injuries and personal demons that have littered Cartwright’s young career adds an obvious layer of risk. For the Panthers there are also ramifications, with the contender losing game breaking ability on the negative side but gaining salary cap space to balance the ledger.Foxsports.com.au answers five burning questions that linger over the deal. Why did the Panthers release him? He’s one of the most talented young players in the competition but the Panthers hierarchy was growing frustrated with his failure to meet his potential on a regular basis. After a 2016 season that threw him into the mix for a NSW jersey, Cartwright regressed last year, with his season dogged by personal issues and injuries. That didn’t stop him from dominating the Panthers’ win over Manly to spearhead their progression to the second week of finals, scoring two tries in a game breaking performance off the bench. However, the very fact that he wasn’t a starter tells you all you need to know about his standing within the side — not good enough for a player of his rare talents and his top tier pay packet. That message was delivered to Cartwright during this off-season but Phil Gould and Anthony Griffin were not convinced that he could overcome his off-field issues and justify the faith the club had shown him in the form of a long-term deal. That Cartwright has an extremely close relationship with Garth Brennan, forged when the Titans’ rookie coach was at Penrith, helped seal the release on the basis that Gould wanted to give the 23-year-old the best chance to succeed, both as a player and a person. What are the flow-on effects at Penrith? The obvious negative for the Panthers is the X-factor they lose, with Cartwright’s package of size, speed and skill virtually unmatched across the competition. But what they lose in game breaking ability they gain in salary cap space and that could turn out to be hugely valuable as they try to keep together a young and highly rated roster going forward. To start with Josh Mansour, one of the best wingers in the game, is off-contract and will attract plenty of interest from NRL rivals. And come November 1, gun half Nathan Cleary is likely to be on the open market and the Panthers will need a significant war chest to be a chance of keeping him long-term.So good have the first two years of Cleary’s career been, some believe he could be worth as much as $1.5 million-a-season when he signs his next deal — the cap space that Cartwright was chewing up would have made that kind of deal very difficult for the Panthers to accommodate. On the field, Cartwright’s departure gives the Panthers a gap to fill in the back-row this season. It looms as a huge opportunity for talented youngster Corey Harawira-Naera who was impressive as a regular starter in 2017.He is likely to get the first shot on one edge with Isaah Yeo on the other, although a left-field option could come into play with Villiame Kikau hugely impressive on an edge for Fiji in last year’s World Cup.What does he bring to the Titans? When Brennan arrived on the Gold Coast one of the biggest holes in the roster he inherited was in the back-row, with several off-season departures forcing him to contemplate a shift for Ryan James. What the Cartwright deal does for the Titans is provide Brennan with the flexibility to play his skipper in the middle if that’s his preferred option, increasing the competition for places in the forward pack.It also fills the gap that was created by Tyrone Roberts’ departure, with Cartwright capable of playing as a five-eighth if required. Most of all though, it gives the Titans big attacking weapons on both edges, with Kevin Proctor and Cartwright both capable of creating tryscoring opportunities and finishing them off themselves. What position will he play?More than likely Cartwright will start out in the back-row, particularly with injuries to middle forwards Jarrod Wallace and Jack Stockwell testing the Titans’ depth in that department.Accomplished front-rower James will likely fill that hole, with Cartwright and Proctor to start either side of Jai Arrow in the back-row.However Kane Elgey’s poor 2017 has put him under pressure to lift in a big way this season and if he doesn’t start the year well, Brennan may be tempted to give Cartwright the No.6 jersey. He has spent plenty of time in that role for the Panthers and a playmaker of his size is a rare commodity that can give opposition defences all kinds of headaches.Ash Taylor is a very natural game manager, so the prospect of using Cartwright as a running five-eighth inside Proctor and James has to be a tempting prospect for the coach. Are the Titans finished recruiting? The Jarryd Hayne money hasn’t been completely exhausted just yet, so if the right player becomes available Brennan may look to pull the trigger again. The intriguing subplot to the Cartwright deal is how it may or may not affect the Titans’ ability and desire to bring Tyrone Peachey to the club — with Gold Coast tabling a three-year $1.5 million offer to bring him to the Glitter Strip in 2019.Cartwright’s teammate at the Panthers is one of the few players in the game with similar attributes — he’s a back-rower with utility value, capable of playing at centre and even pinch-hitting at hooker. With Cartwright on their books do the Titans still need him? Peachey’s contract with Penrith does not expire until the end of the 2019 season, so with Cartwright gone will the Panthers block the deal anyway?Perhaps more pressing for Brennan and his recruitment team is his backline, with a handful of starters coming off contract this year.Dale Copley, Anthony Don, Brendan Elliot, Brenko Lee and Tyronne Roberts-Davis are all on the open market, so Brennan will need to make a call on which ones he’d like to keep around next year and beyond and start locking up his backline of the future.

System: “I commented in the previous one. Against these teams is what the rival lets you do. We would like to take the initiative more and not defend so close to our area, but Madrid forces you. And since we do it we had to do it well We have been aggressive in duels and we have been winners. “Bruno: “No, technical decision, today we considered that Bruno had to be at the start and has made a great game. With a good management with Postigo and doing things well in the last meters. We needed a lot of intelligence.”Shutter: “He has been doing some sensational games. I would say a few seasons. I know there is a lot of talk about centrals and I am very happy with what I have. Postigo has shown again because he is a starter in this team.”Morales: “I understand that it is not easy to see Morales every year every game and some downturn he had to have. He is a player with a commitment to the team and the club and in the end you have to have confidence in him. Not because he has made the goal. You have to see him train. When someone trains like him things have to come out. It is very important for this team and starting from the bench. “Defending: “Yes, I already said that the team wanted to try to keep the hallmarks. That DNA is marked by the characteristics of the players. It is a risk to play with so many offensive players, but there is the collective work and we have done it.” Reflection: “Well, we are very happy with the truth about the costumes and the fans. It is not easy to win the two greats, Barça and Madrid in one season. I think we have to have more faith in this team, that we have it. But we are so suffering … “Overall rating: “The second part I think we have arrived more than once. We are the Levante and we just need to get more from us than they did. It was a game to suffer. The effort has to be maximum and there are times where you have a bad time. They have great players who they are capable of generating superiority from the outside, but the team has made a tremendous effort and we have defended well in the area. In the final moment the team has been sensational. In the first one it cost us but in the break we have talked that we should give a step forward and the team in the second has had more ease and has believed in harming Madrid. In order to beat them, they have to give all the circumstances, be successful and that they do not have the day. “Melero: “We wanted a break in the middle of the field, a lot of people accumulate there. We needed oxygen, that’s the reality. We needed someone to give Nikola a break and with the ball we could hurt with Bardhi and Campaign more advanced.”
Valencia also made headlines for the coronavirus last week due to the trip they made to Bergamo. Some sports journalists were infected and, in turn, transferred the virus to their editorial partners on the way back. Be that as it may, for now there is a match. Even the club has designed a series of events to commemorate March 8. For example, there will be a banner with the names of all subscribers at the Mendizorroza stadium. The team has returned this afternoon to training in the sports city of Ibaia. The headdresses are Pina and Roberto. Laguardia also received a blow to the head in Leganés and lost some vision for what happened in a hospital. Aleix Vidal will not be able to play due to the cycle of five yellow cards. Duarte, Joselu and Magallán are aware. After the clash against the Levantines, the clash of Barcelona against Espanyol will arrive and the Royal Society will be received in the capital of Alava. Vitoria is one of the cities most affected by the coronavirus. There are eight positives linked to the capital of Alava: seven people from the city or province and a Rioja who works in the Basque city. Level 1 is the one that has been activated for now. We would talk about a series of decisions related to alertness. But if you go to level 2, other decisions would have to be made, such as avoiding agglomerations. And on Friday an Alavés-Valencia is played that it could have some restrictions such as, for example, that the public cannot attend. For now the dispute of the crash is not in danger but we will have to see how the week evolves. In the Mercedes or in the municipal cleaning contract there have been some doubtful cases and they have gone to their homes to avoid contagion. But One of the places most affected by the virus is precisely the Txagorritxu Hospital. A doctor, who was in Malaga watching the Copa del Rey basketball, tested positive and infected, for example, a teammate. Nor is it clear that she is the first infected by what worries about not knowing the first pandemic carrier. Also, the health center of Olárizu has been closed for fear of contagion.
The player wanted to publicly thank the support samples received through social networks. Gerard Valentín thanked him writing “first of all, thank you very much for the amount of messages I have received. Within what is possible I am fine and waiting to be operated on Tuesday or Wednesday. Perhaps take the opportunity to make me a touch up and leave more handsome” . The end returned to Cádiz to ownership after forcing the fifth yellow card against Oviedo to rest in the derby against Deportivo, who was no longer going to play by clause in his assignment contract. The other protagonist of the play, Alberto Cifuentes, also wanted to give his version of events on social networks, emphasizing that “I would like no one to doubt my void intention of hurting Gerard on that play. I have tried to remove myself so that the coup did not occur. “Similarly, the cadist captain points out that “I deeply regret a partner’s injury and I have already apologized personally. I wish him a speedy recovery.” The right end of the Lugo Gerard Valentín CD will have to go through the operating room. Behind the tremendous blow that received the first part mediated by Alberto Cifuentes, goalkeeper of Cádiz who was expelled by the set, the Catalan player was transferred to the Polusa Hospital where he was diagnosed “fracture of the right maxillary sinus and orbit”, according to the statement that the club released after midnight. In this way Valentine, fundamental piece in the Curro Torres scheme, Lugo’s next matches will be lost at the expense of his recovery period. The operation will be carried out on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Differences with Spain: “As I said before, becoming aware of isolation was not a problem for me. I received a document that said that I would be isolated for the next two weeks and that we would be in contact through telephone lines. But that document did not say that I could not go to the pharmacy or the store. I certainly planned to be in solitary because of the club’s order. “What you do during your isolation: “I try to do something different every day because it is not easy to be indoors all the time, especially because I am used to demanding daily workouts. That is why I train in the apartment every day to be ready when this situation ends. Also, I watch movies and series, I watch various shows, but I also spend time on social media. I’ve always loved board games, so we play a different one every night. “Your family’s reaction: “They know me well and know that I would never knowingly put someone in danger. This was all a shock to both me and them, but as always, they support me unconditionally. I get in touch with them every day and they try to cheer me up. The same goes for Sofia, who is isolated with me. “What will you do after isolation?: “First of all, I can’t wait to see my son and give him a hug. I came here for him first, but the situation is such that I can’t see him either, so it will be the first thing I do. Also, I would love to spend some time with the family. I would also like to help my fellow citizens. I also cannot wait to go back to the field and continue with my club where we left off. “Will it help your country?: “Of course I will help, I have helped before and I will not stop now. Just because I don’t publish when, who or how I help doesn’t mean I don’t. It seems to me that more humane people don’t help others under the spotlights and when others are watching. “Controversy and the selection of Serbia: “Of course it will not affect. I am always there for my country and national team and the most important thing is that I have the desire to play with them.” Quarantine was skipped: “I broke the isolation because I was not aware of the rules. I know it is hard to believe, but it is true. In the country where I come from, and even in Italy, as far as we can see on the Internet, anyone in quarantine can get out throwing trash once a day, going to a pharmacy or a store. I thought the same rules applied here. It’s my fault for not doing better research, but I think it’s important that they explain the conditions correctly, especially for people who they come from abroad. My intention was not to blame the authorities for my ignorance, I was aware that I was isolating myself, for which there is a document that proves it. My ignorance was that I did not know how I should behave in isolation. Once again I insist that it was because of the conditions I came from. Of course, I am ready to assume the consequences of my actions. “ Luka Jovic has given an interview to the Serbian portal Objektiv, in which he goes out to give explanations for his arrival in Serbia from Spain and all the controversy surrounding his figure in recent times. The Real Madrid striker assumes his mistake after skipping the quarantine demands in Serbia and places himself at the disposal of the authorities if they consider that isolation has been skipped.

“The condition is that there is a matured concept. What the DFL (German League Federation) has been proposing suggests that there will be protection measures. I imagine that we can resume the games behind closed doors“were Laschet’s words. Söder, for his part, was somewhat more cautious.” We are walking on the wire, “he said.”We have to be careful not to rush and act recklessly. It is feasible that we can play behind closed doors from May 9 at the earliest, “he added. For it, the political authorities of the Federal Republic will order a detailed report from the Federal Institute of Infectious and Non-Communicable Diseases Robert Koch and will make a final decision always following your directions. Then, the 36 clubs of the first and second division of the Bundesliga will meet next Thursday telematically with the federation to make a final decision on the future of the Bundesliga. The policy opens the door to the possibility of resuming the Bundesliga from May 9 and ending it behind closed doors. In an interview with the online version of the German newspaper Bild, Markus Söder and Armin Laschet, Prime Ministers of Bavaria and North Rhine Westphaliarespectively they gave the go-ahead plans to resume competition in Germany in about three weeks despite the coronavirus.
