The new airport lounges have been designed to enhance the international pre-flight experience for Qantas customers, reflecting their local destinations in design and through cuisine. “Our customers consistently tell us that Qantas lounges are a key part of their journey,” Qantas International chief executive Simon Hickey said. Qantas has announced details of its new Hong Kong and Los Angeles lounges, opening 2014. Mr Hickey says the majority of inbound Qantas flights to Australia are overnight and therefore customers are keen to dine in the lounge prior to flying in order to maximise their rest time.
