Lallana: I’m good friends with Pochettino… but I don’t want to leave Liverpool

first_imgAdam Lallana insists he has no desire to leave Liverpool for Tottenham this summer. The midfielder’s former manager at Southampton, Mauricio Pochettino, is eager to be reunited with the 28-year-old at White Hart Lane.According to widespread reports, Pochettino has made Lallana his top summer transfer target and Spurs have set aside £20million to try and lure him away from Anfield. But, while Lallana admits he is still close to the Argentine, the 28-year-old says there is no reason for him to leave Liverpool. After a slow start to his Reds career, the England international has become a key part of the team under Jurgen Klopp and is set to start Wednesday’s Europa League final.“I’ve got three years left on my contract here,” Lallana said.“It was only last season that people might have read that I was leaving and thought ‘Yes, let’s get him out’. But football changes very quickly and I’m really enjoying my football under this manager.“I’ve always had a good relationship with Pochettino. We are very good friends off the pitch now. But it would be very difficult (to leave).“I am at a massive club here and playing some of my best football for the club, getting to cup finals.” 1 Adam Lallana shares a joke with Danny Ings during a Liverpool training session last_img read more
