first_imgJob ResponsibilitiesThe Citadel’s Department of Intelligence and Security Studies isestablishing a pool of applicants to fill potential part-timetemporary teaching positions. Duties may include teachingundergraduate and graduate courses. Courses are offered during theday and online throughout the academic year (fall, spring, andsummer). All adjunct positions are per session appointments.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Abiding by and upholding the Citadel’s mission, policies, and corevalues;Utilizing effective teaching and learning practices such aspresentations, demonstrations, class discussion, and otherappropriate modes of instructional delivery;Preparing course outlines and syllabi in accordance with programstandards and in collaboration with the program coordinator;Completing student assessments required for programcompletion;Meeting all scheduled class periods;Being available to students for individual consultation;Submitting midterm grades for undergraduate students;Recording class absences for undergraduate students; andSubmitting final grades by the specified due date.The Citadel requires faculty to submit midterm grades forundergraduate students.The Citadel requires faculty to use the Attendance and ClassAbsence System to document class attendance for undergraduatestudents.Minimum Qualifications:Doctoral degree is required to teach graduate courses.Master’s degree is required to teach undergraduate courses.Three years teaching experience at the elementary, middle grades,secondary, and/or college levelExcellent written and oral communication skillsExceptional interpersonal and collaboration skillsExperience in designing courses and materialsIn addition to the online application, please provide acover letter and CVAdvertised: Oct 31 2019 Eastern Daylight TimeApplications close:last_img read more
