(Photo by Steven Branscombe/Getty Images)In their efforts to bolster a solid 2019 recruiting class ahead of National Signing Day, Scott Frost and his Nebraska staff have started recruiting three-star defensive back Jamel Starks more heavily.According to the Omaha World-Herald, the Cornhuskers are “in the mix” for Starks, with visits scheduled with Frost and defensive backs coach Travis Fisher.Per the report, Nebraska’s interest in Starks is mutual.Nebraska’s odds of getting Starks are also looking good. 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions have Starks signing with the Huskers.The World-Herald noted that Starks has already made visits to West Virginia and North Carolina State. He is considered likely to visit Louisville and Colorado State, and possibly Auburn and South Carolina.247Sports rates Starks as the No. 84 prospect from the state of Georgia.Following the early signing period in December, Nebraska has 23 players with signed letters of intent for 2019.Jamel Starks (@jamel_starks) made the call Thursday.
